📍 Hybrid in Warsaw (3 days/week onsite required) | 💼 Full-time | Contract of Employment (Umowa o Pracę) | Salary up to $9,500/month

Our client is a US-based technology company headquartered in New York City, delivering digital solutions and consulting services that transform businesses and drive measurable value. With offices in multiple countries, the company is now investing in a new engineering centre in Warsaw, recognizing the strong talent and culture of Polish software professionals.

We are now hiring a Senior Technical Manager with deep expertise in modern fullstack JavaScript technologies — including React, Node.js, NestJS, Next.js, and GraphQL. This is a key leadership role for a strategic technologist who thrives on leading top-performing engineering teams, driving architectural direction, and delivering scalable, high-performance web applications.

This is a hybrid position — you will be expected to work from the Warsaw office at least 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Architect and design applications built with React (frontend) and Node.js/NestJS (backend), utilizing GraphQL and REST APIs

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of fullstack engineers while promoting best practices and engineering excellence

• Project Execution: Own and deliver complex technical solutions, ensuring quality, security, scalability, and performance

• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to align on delivery scope and roadmap

• Code & Architecture Reviews: Conduct reviews to ensure maintainability, scalability, and adherence to coding standards

• Performance Optimization: Design for scalability and high-performance UX in demanding applications

• Innovation: Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and practices to improve engineering workflows

• Risk Management: Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies

  
  

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• 10+ years in software engineering, including strong fullstack JavaScript experience

  Advanced knowledge of:

• React.js (Hooks, Context API)

• Node.js, NestJS, Express

• Next.js (SSR, dynamic routing)

• GraphQL (Apollo Server/Client)

Solid experience in:

• HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript

• Designing REST & GraphQL APIs

• Async design patterns and performance tuning

• Cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)

• CI/CD, Docker, Git, DevOps practices

• Software architecture and microservices

• Managerial & Leadership Skills

• Proven experience leading agile engineering teams

• Strong mentorship and team development capabilities

• Skilled in project planning, scope estimation, and execution

• Effective communicator with stakeholders at all levels

• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments

  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 10+ years of total software development experience, with 5+ years focused on fullstack JavaScript

• Minimum 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role

• Cloud, architecture, or JavaScript certifications are a plus
