Senior JavaScript React Developer (Next.js)

For our client, we are looking for a Senior JavaScript React Developer to join our client's Website & eCommerce team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining modern, high-performance frontend solutions using React.js and Next.js. You will collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and international stakeholders while driving best practices across the development lifecycle.

You will play a key role in the evolution of large-scale, multi-country digital platforms and contribute to the transition toward a new multisite Drupal platform planned for 2026.

Project information:

• Location: Warsaw, Poland

• Work Setup: Hybrid work (2 - 3 days/ week in the office)

• Rate: 125 PLN/net/h + VAT (B2B contract)

• Language: English (B2+ Required)

• Start date: depending on candidate availability

Project scope:

• Develop and maintain frontend components using React.js and Next.js (SSG/SSR, i18n, performance optimization)

• Build and support custom CMS modules, plugins, and integrations

• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance

• Drive and promote best practices, including test-driven development, CI/CD, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards

• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and frontend/backend developers to deliver intuitive and visually appealing user experiences

• Ensure website content is easily editable by non-technical users

• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility (WCAG)

• Work with distributed international teams and key stakeholders

• Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

• Technical Skills:

  • Frontend: Strong skills in React.js and Next.js (SSG/SSR, i18n, performance optimization).

  • Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, SCSS/Tailwind.

  • APIs: REST, GraphQL.

  • Tooling: Jira, Git, Figma, Confluence.

  • Architecture (Preferred): Headless, Decoupled, Micro Frontends, Component-based design.

  • Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, AWS/Azure/GCP.

• Competences:

  • Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, plus modern frameworks (React, Next.js).

  • Understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, deployment).

  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.

  • Proficient in cross-browser compatibility and scalable application design principles.

  • Experience with data migration, transformation, and scripting.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Prior experience with digital accessibility (WCAG)
