BI Platform Specialist
At Opensignal, we build customer-facing telecom data products used by operators and industry leaders worldwide. A key part of those products is how data is presented — clearly, interactively, and reliably.
We’re looking for BI engineer to build and improve dashboards using our BI platform, while also supporting the quality and reliability of the platform through hands-on testing.
This role combines dashboard development with validation and testing of BI features.
You’ll take product requirements and turn them into interactive dashboards used directly by customers, while also ensuring that dashboards and platform features behave correctly before release.
You don’t need to know our platform in advance — we’ll teach you. What matters is that you’re comfortable working with data, building dashboards, and carefully validating how things work.
Over time, you’ll build deeper expertise in the platform and become someone others rely on when working with it.
You’ll work across multiple telecom data products, collaborating with product teams, data teams, and engineers to deliver dashboards that are reliable, consistent, and well-tested.
What you will do
Build interactive, customer-facing dashboards in BI platform
Translate product requirements into clear and usable visualizations
Ensure dashboards are stable, accurate, and production-ready
Review and improve dashboards created by other teams
Support colleagues in using the platform effectively
Prepare database views and schemas to support dashboards
Work closely with engineers to verify BI platform new features
You will work across multiple telecom product groups and collaborate with colleagues in different time zones (including occasional evening calls with North America).
What this role is about
Building clear, reliable dashboards used by customers
Making complex data easy to understand and use
Ensuring dashboards and platform features work correctly before release
Supporting others in working with data and dashboards
This role requires visibility and communication.
We’re looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable being a go-to person for dashboard and platform-related topics.
What we’re looking for
Must-have:
2+ years of experience working with SQL (joins, aggregations, familiarity with CTEs or window functions)
2+ year of hands-on experience building dashboards in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) — from a creator/author perspective, not just as a viewer or end user
Basic understanding of how data is structured and how queries impact performance
Clear communication skills in English
Ability to prioritize work and focus on what matters most
Practical experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and problem-solving
Attention to detail and ability to validate data and dashboard behavior
Nice to have:
Experience with BigQuery, Redshift or Postgres
Familiarity with telecom data
Basic JavaScript understanding
Experience with manual testing, QA processes, or validating data-driven products
Growth opportunities
As the platform continues to grow, this role can expand into broader platform-related responsibilities, including:
Improving dashboard standards and template structure
Supporting governance and quality processes
Taking more ownership of complex dashboards across products
Analyzing platform usage and user behavior (Google Analytics)
Working with logs and data to improve stability and reliability
Expanding involvement in testing, validation, and release processes
Expanding into wider data or platform-oriented roles within the company
The BI platform sits at the center of multiple telecom products, creating opportunities to deepen your technical skills and increase your impact over time.
