As a leading player in the area of innovation in the sustainable and intelligent mobility industry, the company has developed the unique MagRail technology, enabling it to significantly improve the efficiency of existing rail transport systems and take them to a whole new dimension.


    We are currently recruiting for the role of System Engineer who will bring value to Nevomo in all related safety topics.


    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Owning the requirements baseline through capture, analysis, tracing, and change management.
    • Defining system architecture, interfaces, and performance budgets.
    • Building and running verification & validation plans.
    • Assisting in the development of safety architectures in alignment with railway standards and requirements, with guidance from senior safety engineers
    • Learning and actively participating in technical decision-making processes related to product development topics at Nevomo
    • Collaborating with external partners to support the implementation of our products at our test and pilot facilities.
    • Supporting the homologation process and ensuring adherence to technical standards and regulations, including TSI.
    • Engaging with cross-functional teams, including engineers, managers, and stakeholders, to contribute to the implementation and maintenance of safety measures
    • Collaborating with standardization and RAMS specialists to ensure compliance with regulatory, RAMS, and Quality requirements
    • Assisting in risk and conformity assessment activities


    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Railway Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
    • Professional certification in Systems and Requirements Engineering (IREB, INCOSE, or equivalent recognized certification).
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in railway systems engineering (signaling, rolling stock, infrastructure, or telecommunications)
    • Familiarity with European safety standards applicable to rail transportation (EN 50126, 50128, 50129).
    • Proven experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or similar enterprise platforms)
    • Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (SysML, Cameo, MagicDraw, Capella or equivalent)
    • Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle methodologies (V-Model, Agile systems engineering approaches)
    • Eagerness to learn and understand compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards, including local, national, and international requirements.
    • Good communication skills to convey safety-related information effectively to various stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
    • A commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging safety technologies. An orientation towards continuous improvement in safety practices. Structured and organized with a hands-on approach
    • Operational proficiency in English for reading and writing technical documentation
    • Knowledge of German will be an additional advantage
