Job Description

We are seeking motivated and curious Operations Engineers to join our international IT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting our clients' critical on-premises infrastructure, specializing in either Linux or Windows environments. You will ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance while working with modern technologies in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain server environments based on your area of expertise (Linux or Windows).

  • Automation & Scripting: Utilize scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to manage configurations, improve deployments, and ensure system reliability.

  • Application & Database Support: Manage key applications, web servers, and databases relevant to your technology stack (e.g., NGINX/PostgreSQL for Linux, IIS/MS SQL for Windows).

  • Operational Excellence: Respond to and resolve incidents and requests following ITIL best practices. Proactively monitor system performance and manage system changes using Azure DevOps.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, developers, and international colleagues on tasks ranging from daily operations to system migrations and new solution design.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for a specialist in either Linux or Windows administration. You should have a strong foundation in one of the following areas:

For Linux Specialists:

  • Strong experience with Linux distributions, preferably Red Hat (RHEL).

  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation with Ansible.

  • Experience with web servers (NGINX), containerization (Docker), and databases like PostgreSQL with high-availability solutions (Patroni, etcd).

For Windows Specialists:

  • A solid understanding of Microsoft infrastructure (Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS).

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.

  • A security-conscious mindset with experience in patch management, certificates, and ADFS.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or SharePoint is a plus.

General Qualifications (for all candidates):

  • An IT-related university degree (Bachelor's or Master's).

  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking from a server administration perspective.

  • Good communication skills in English (B2 level or higher), both written and spoken.

  • Experience with ITIL processes is advantageous.
