Senior Solutions Architect

ABOUT PROJECT

At NATEK, we are seeking a skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join one of the largest brewing companies in the world. This role involves leading the technical strategy, architecture design, and governance of the Core Unified Platform (CUP), ensuring the platform enables high-quality data engineering, analytics, and machine learning capabilities across the European zone. The project focuses on designing, evolving, and optimizing a modern, scalable Data and Machine Learning Platform across Europe, aligning closely with globally defined architecture standards while adapting to local requirements (regulatory, business, and operational). The project involves close collaboration with global architecture and engineering teams, European business stakeholders, data product teams, and external partners, aiming to deliver a world-class data platform that powers business innovation, insights, and operational efficiency.

Your responsibilities:

• Analyze the globally developed data and ML platform (Core Unified Platform) and determine how to adapt it to European business and regulatory requirements.

• Develop target architecture designs, roadmaps, and technical specifications.

• Make sure all solutions are scalable, reliable, and cost-optimized.

• Oversee and guide the deployment, integration, and configuration of platform components across Europe.

• Continuously improve platform performance, cost efficiency, and usability.

• Drive adoption of DevOps practices for automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

• Create and enforce architecture governance frameworks to ensure consistency and control.

• Make sure all solutions comply with GDPR, internal security standards, and legal requirements.

• Proactively manage platform risks.

• Participate in architecture reviews and solution boards.

• Provide technical guidance and approvals for new data, analytics, and machine learning use cases.

• Act as the technical advisor for engineering and analytics teams.

• Collaborate closely with:

  o European business leaders and IT stakeholders.

  o Global platform engineering and operations teams.

  o Data Product teams and Architecture Boards.

• Advocate for platform investments and priorities aligned to strategic business goals.

• Lead and mentor the Core Unified Platform engineering team, supporting their growth and technical development.

• Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

• Organize and lead communities of practice and technical guilds.

• Stay up to date with emerging trends in data and ML technologies.

• Evaluate new tools, methods, and approaches to keep the platform modern and competitive.

• Drive innovation to solve complex business challenges.

Our requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in a similar role

• Expertise in cloud architecture, especially Microsoft Azure (Databricks, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure ML)

• Strong experience in data engineering: ETL, big data processing (Spark), data warehousing

• Proven skills in designing scalable data and ML platforms

• Hands-on with DevOps and MLOps practices (CI/CD, automation, monitoring)

• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, internal standards)

• Proficient in performance tuning and cost optimization of cloud data platforms

• Strong team leadership and mentoring experience

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience in collaborating with global and regional teams

• Ability to drive technical strategy and governance frameworks

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Ability to innovate and apply cutting-edge technologies to solve business challenges
