Be part of a company that operates the electricity transmission grid in northern and eastern Germany, continuously expanding its system to support the energy transition. The goal is 100% renewable energy integration by 2032.

The project, based on the Smart Energy Platform, fulfills the regulatory requirements of the Federal Network Agency for implementing the market role of the Transmission System Operator (TSO) in the German energy market.

• Logging & Monitoring: Splunk 
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines) 
• Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes 

Your responsibilities

• Managing and enhancing FastAPI services that handle the parsing of MSCONS (EDIFACT) files and efficiently store the extracted data in databases.
• Expanding the functionality of existing FastAPI services to support the export of Excel spreadsheets, aligning with the latest regulatory requirements.
• Optimizing the Excel spreadsheet generation process by implementing automation using Airflow.
• Developing dashboards leveraging log data stored in Splunk to improve monitoring and analytics.
• Configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps to streamline deployment processes.

Our requirements

• 5+ years of experience in coding with Python
• 2 years of experience in managing and/or deploying on Kubernetes and in setting up pipelines in Azure DevOps
• 1 year of experience in implementing services using FastAPI and Pydantic
• 1 year of experience in using Splunk and Airflow, including writing DAGs
• Familiarity with the energy industry is a plus
• English and German proficiency is mandatory (C1)
