Junior Java Azure Engineer

Department Overview

Secure Products Group (SPG) focuses on the delivery of encryption, key management, and authentication solutions that protect the mission-critical communication of Motorola customers. Our goal is to maintain secure and encrypted communication channels in various fields, including law enforcement and emergency services, as well as intelligence agencies that value cybersecurity.

Project Description:

Our team is focused on designing and implementing certificate management solutions for large-scale communication systems. We emphasize modern cloud engineering practices, utilizing processes and tools in our Azure projects. You'll operate within a DevOps model, managing cloud components and deployment orchestration.

As a Junior Engineer, you will be involved in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our applications. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with and learn from leading security experts in a rapidly expanding domain.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in developing Java-based applications.

• Practical familiarity with front-end development, specifically using Angular and JavaScript.

• Understanding of client-server architecture and RESTful API design principles.

• Verbal and written English communication skills necessary for technical collaboration.

Additional Assets (Nice-to-Have)

• Hands-on experience with cloud development (Azure technology is strongly preferred).

• Prior experience with Java EE and/or the Quarkus ecosystem 

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and/or reactive programming.

• Familiarity with Clean Code principles (such as SOLID).

• Good understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP stack, security concepts).

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, or a related field.
