We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team on an exciting project related to EV chargers for a major client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend solutions using Java. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and other development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The candidate should be proficient in utilizing various tools and technologies to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential for this position.
Scope and responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and deliver on the roadmap for Customer EV solutions
- Work with the team of experienced developers to build best in class software following market best practices and standards
- Develop micro-services in Java 16+ and deploy them to cloud environment
- Engage and contribute to product / ideas, both from technical and business perspective
- Work with CI/CD systems and Code Reviews, contribute ideas and improvements to existing workflow
- Share knowledge across the team
- Visit Customer office in Warsaw up to 6 times a year for workshops and planning sessions.
Qualifications
Must have:
- At least 3 years of experience in IT industry development,
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a JAVA software developer, including Java 16+ versions, JUnit, Hibernate
- Knowledgeable in Postgres for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiar with cloud storage solutions including S3 on AWS
- Experienced with build automation tools like Gradle.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Owner, Architects and other developments teams
- Experience with multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken - level C1
- Communicative Polish, both written and spoken - level B2
Nice to have:
- Experience in the retail industry is advantageous, but not mandatory.
- Knowledge in Microservice Architecture.
- Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
- Experience with Vendor Management.
- Skilled in using TypeScript, Python or JavaScript/Node.js on AWS Lambda.
- Experience with Python on AWS Lambda.
- Knowledge of Kotlin for application development.
- Knowledge of Open-Api (Swagger) for applications with API documentation
