Node.js Developer

About the project

We are searching for an experienced Node.js Developer to join our project team and support the development of a modern mobile application and a suite of backend services in the digital health space.You’ll be working on a high-impact product with broad reach, helping users make smarter choices about their wellbeing and daily habits. If you want to build solutions that genuinely improve people’s lives — this role is for you.

Contract duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension and/or transfer to the client’s team.

Remote work: (candidates based in Kraków are a plus, but this is not a requirement).

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable backend services using Node.js (TypeScript, NestJS).

• Building and maintaining REST API interfaces.

• Managing and extending relational database structures.

• Improving performance and stability of backend systems.

• Creating and maintaining automated tests.

• Working within a CI/CD environment using Docker and cloud-based tools.

• Delivering new product features while supporting ongoing maintenance (approx. 70/30).

  
  

Must have

• At least 3 years of commercial experience as a Backend Developer.

• Strong proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and serverless workflows.

• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Experience designing REST APIs.

• Knowledge of Docker and basic CI/CD processes.

• Ability to write clean, modular, and reusable code.

• Experience working with Git.

• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

  
  

Nice to have

• Experience with React / TypeScript (frontend).

• Familiarity with non-relational databases such as Redis.

• Experience in AI-powered code completion and assistance tools such as GitHub Copilot and Tabnine.

• Proficiency in modern AI-enhanced IDEs, including JetBrains IDEs, Cursor and Trae.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation and debugging tools, such as Qodo
