Job description

What you’ll do

📌 Heads up before you apply!

This is a project-based recruitment – your contract will be linked to the duration of our collaboration with the client. Once the project ends, your contract with Merixstudio will also end. We expect the cooperation to be long-term: the project is planned until the end of 2025, with a potential extension into 2026.

The recruitment process consists of three steps:

  1. a 30–45 min intro call with HR

  2. a technical interview (around 45 min)

  3. an interview with a client

Now, let’s talk about a project.

It's a tech-driven infrastructure management platform specializing in intelligent road condition monitoring. Their system enables local governments and infrastructure agencies to turn a smartphone into a smart data collection device.

The project involves working with a microservice architecture hosted on AWS, primarily interacting through Kubernetes. It heavily utilizes geospatial data within the system, specifically with PostgreSQL and PostGIS extensions.

You’ll work alongside a dedicated cross-functional team and collaborate directly with the client-side Product Owner. We follow Scrum and put strong emphasis on product thinking – we’re looking for someone who not only develops features but cares about how the product works, how it’s used and how to make it better.

We're looking for 3 developers to join this project – and at least one of them needs solid React skills. So if you're that rare backend soul who also enjoys building stuff on the frontend – we definitely want to hear from you!

Who you are (must-haves)

  • commercial experience in developing web applications using Go

  • proficiency with Go concurrency features like goroutines and channels

  • understanding of efficient data types and algorithms - ability to apply optimization patterns and ensure code efficiency

  • practical experience using Docker and Kubernetes as a client

  • experience working with tools and practices related to testing, building, and static analysis within the Go ecosystem

  • knowledge of PostgreSQL

  • familiarity with design patterns and principles of delivering high-quality code

  • ability to work with geospatial data (PostGIS)

  • familiarity with Bash

  • experience working both with legacy and greenfield projects

  • strong problem-solving skills

  • proactivity and ability to take initiative

  • team player attitude and good communication skills (English B2+)

What we’d like to see (nice-to-haves)

  • full-stack capabilities for small tasks (React, NodeJS, Python)

  • experience working with Prometheus and Grafana

  • knowledge of AWS services (EC2, SQS, S3, Lambda)

  • familiarity with AI coding assistants like Windsurf, Cursor or Copilot

Benefits:

  1. one-time home office bonus - 1000 PLN net

  2. free medical care

  3. flexible working hours

  4. 100% remote work or hybrid model: if you want, we have a great office in Poznań!
