System Analyst (with AI Tooling)

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements analysis including elicitation, refinement, validation, and ongoing management of functional and non-functional requirements

• Act as a key interface between business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams

• Analyse and design application-level architecture with strong focus on APIs, integrations, and complex data flows

• Define API requirements including contracts, request and response structures, error handling, and non-functional expectations

• Model business processes, system workflows, and integration scenarios using BPMN and UML

• Translate business needs into clear system specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

• Support backlog management, prioritisation, and impact analysis across multiple application components

• Use AI tools daily to accelerate analysis work, improve documentation quality, and support architectural decision-making

• Support solution validation, internal testing, and production readiness activities

• Ensure full traceability between business objectives, requirements, APIs, and implemented functionality

What we are looking for

• 4+ years as a Systems Analyst on complex software platforms

• Proven hands-on experience working with APIs, especially REST-based services and integration patterns

• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases

• Practical experience with BPMN, UML, and tools such as Enterprise Architect or equivalent

• Experience analysing distributed systems and service-oriented architectures

• Demonstrated daily use of AI tools in analysis and design work, such as:

  • GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted tools for specification and technical analysis

  • AI-powered documentation tools (e.g. Confluence AI, Notion AI)

  • AI-assisted modelling and diagramming for BPMN, UML, and architecture

  • AI-supported SQL and data exploration tools

  • AI-assisted testing and quality tools for requirements coverage and edge cases

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Structured, analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
