Senior Data Engineer

We are currently looking for a Power BI Developer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the reporting environment and data warehouse, with a particular focus on data analysis and visualization projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

• Process and manage large volumes of data using Azure Databricks and its latest capabilities.

• Define and evolve modern data architectures, including Data Lake, Delta Lake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart solutions.

• Build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

• Develop and enhance data models to meet changing business and analytical requirements.

• Participate in cloud transformation initiatives, including migration of data platforms and workloads from on-premises environments to Azure.

• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with cloud best practices and organizational standards.

• Collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leaders to deliver high-quality data solutions.

• Identify risks proactively, communicate challenges effectively, and recommend practical solutions.

• Contribute to source control, deployment automation, and CI/CD processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT, including at least 3.5 years working with cloud-based data platforms in production environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including:

  • Azure Data Factory

  • Azure Data Lake Storage

  • Azure SQL

  • Azure Synapse Analytics

  • Power BI

• Advanced knowledge of Azure Databricks, particularly:

  • Delta Lake

  • Delta Live Tables

  • Unity Catalog

• Proven experience designing and implementing modern data architectures such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and Delta Lake solutions.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps.

• Track record of delivering on-premises to cloud migration projects.

• Solid understanding of data security, access management, and cloud governance principles.

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities and limited process structure.

• English proficiency at B2+ level or higher, enabling effective communication within an international team.
