Test Automation Developer (German-speaking)

Location: Hybrid, ~30% on-site

Languages: German B2 (required), English C1/C2

Contract: 6 months + possible extension

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Developer to design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions using Java/Selenium or UiPath RPA. You will independently develop automated test scripts, enhance testing frameworks, and work closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

This role requires strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to operate in both agile and traditional project environments.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Development

• Develop and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Build, optimize, and extend test automation frameworks.

• Implement and maintain automation architecture aligned with project standards.

Integration & CI/CD

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate on build and deployment processes to ensure smooth execution.

Analysis & Quality Assurance

• Analyze test results, investigate defects, and document findings.

• Monitor and improve test coverage, ensuring critical features are well-tested.

• Align with development teams to maintain quality and automate existing manual test cases.

Maintenance & Collaboration

• Update and refactor test scripts based on application and architecture changes.

• Cooperate with cross-functional teams in hybrid/agile environments.

• Occasionally support related responsibilities during absences or operational needs.

Required Qualifications

Education & Background

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related field.

• Alternatively: minimum 5 years of proven professional experience in software testing/test automation.

Experience

• 3–5 years as a Test Automation Developer.

• 2–3 years of experience in relevant IT projects (size/scope advantageous).

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Java.

• Proven experience with Selenium or other test automation frameworks.

• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and test integration pipelines.

• Solid understanding of software testing methods.

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Selenium

  • Jenkins

  • Postman
