Senior Development Excellence Consultant

We are hiring very senior developers for a purely mentoring and advisory role.

Role

You will work with multiple development teams to raise engineering quality, standards, and ways of working.

The focus is on mentoring, setting standards, and shaping engineering practices with real, organization-level impact.

Key focus

• Quality gates in Pull Request workflows

• Code review and testing standards

• Static code analysis (SonarQube)

• BDD adoption (Gherkin, Cucumber, JUnit)

• Mentoring and upskilling developers

• Engineering excellence mindset

Banking experience is a strong plus.

Required Experience

Technical

• Strong Java background (architecture, best practices, code quality)

• Proven experience with PR-based workflows and quality gates

• Solid knowledge of SonarQube, test automation, CI/CD

• Nice to have: Vaadin, Integris

• Banking domain experience – plus

Methodology

• Proven experience mentoring and upskilling development teams

• Real-world BDD implementation in large environments

• Ability to work across multiple teams simultaneously

Language

• Fluent English

• German – nice to have (basic communication is sufficient)
