About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and optimize backend solutions that support complex data processing and analytical applications. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, high-performance systems while ensuring seamless integration with internal and external services. Your expertise in Java and Scala will be key in shaping the architecture and technical direction of our backend technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of backend services for high-volume, data-intensive applications.
• Define and contribute to the overall system architecture and technical roadmap.
• Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Build and enhance backend services to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that support data analytics and system integrations.
• Develop cloud-native applications, leveraging AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance automation, deployment strategies, and operational resilience.
• Continuously research and adopt modern backend technologies to drive innovation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of software development experience, primarily with Java and Scala.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Hands-on experience in developing scalable applications with high data throughput.
• Proficiency in SQL development and debugging for relational databases.
• Experience in RESTful API design and backend service integration.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure for deploying and managing applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.
