SAS Platform Engineer

As a SAS Platform Engineer, the candidate has been responsible for the development, configuration, and maintenance of SAS environments across different platforms, including SAS DI Studio, SAS Management Console, and SAS Viya. Their role includes managing data integration pipelines, monitoring resources using SAS Visual Analytics, and optimizing the compute layer in SAS Viya using CAS (Cloud Analytic Services).

The engineer actively participates in CI/CD pipeline development and deployment processes using GitLab CI/CD, contributing to automation, version control, and environment provisioning. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes allows for efficient containerization and orchestration of SAS services in cloud-native or hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and maintaining ETL processes in SAS DI Studio

• Administering and configuring SAS environments via SAS Management Console

• Working with SAS Viya (Studio, CAS, Visual Analytics) to enable modern, scalable data analytics

• Building CI/CD pipelines for SAS workloads using GitLab CI/CD

• Containerizing components with Docker and orchestrating with Kubernetes

• Collaborating with data teams to ensure high availability and performance of analytical environments
