Release & Compliance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Release & Compliance Manager to oversee application releases for global marketing platforms. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating and ensuring all release activities align with established procedures and business objectives. Your focus will be on driving seamless deployments while maintaining compliance with governance standards. This is a remote opportunity with occasional on-site workshops throughout the year.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and enforce a governance framework for change and release processes in direct-to-consumer applications.
• Coordinate closely with development, testing, and operational teams to ensure well-structured release schedules.
• Oversee the entire release lifecycle, from planning to deployment, ensuring efficiency and minimizing disruptions.
• Lead post-release assessments, identifying opportunities for refinement and automation.
• Proactively manage risks related to releases and ensure effective mitigation strategies.
• Validate successful completion of testing phases before deployment (FAT/SIT/UAT).
• Monitor platform performance using tools like AWS CloudWatch and NewRelic to maintain SLAs.
• Support compliance efforts and participate in IT governance audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Over 5 years in IT change and release management, with a focus on large-scale global projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure as code. Familiarity with ITIL standards and certifications is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and the capacity to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; Agile and DevOps certifications are advantageous.

Preferred Expertise:

• Experience working with CRM, eCommerce, CMS platforms, or mobile app release processes.
• Proven track record of managing releases in multi-vendor, high-stakes IT environments.
