In this role, you will champion the entire product life cycle—from shaping the long-term vision and roadmap to driving deployment, user adoption, and ongoing optimization across Europe and our expanding global markets.
As the bridge between the business world and technical execution, you will serve as the ultimate advocate for our users and stakeholders. Your mission is to balance commercial value and user satisfaction with technical viability, strict regulatory compliance, and budget efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
🗺️ Product Vision & Strategic Direction
Shape the Future: Craft and sustain a compelling product vision, defining the value proposition and core objectives for the LIMS platform.
Roadmap Ownership: Convert high-level corporate strategies into a transparent, actionable product roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture and IT security.
Success Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs focused on business value, system adoption, user happiness, and cost-of-ownership.
🤝 Stakeholder Engagement & Business Synergy
Primary Liaison: Act as the central face and voice of the LIMS platform for all business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
Demand Optimization: Gather, evaluate, and prioritize incoming business requests, acting as an arbitrator to ensure every IT requirement delivers genuine, measurable business value.
Transparent Governance: Lead steering committees and product review alignment sessions, managing trade-offs and expectations openly.
📋 Requirements & Backlog Craftsmanship
Backlog Governance: Architect and refine the product backlog, structuring business needs into clearly defined epics and features.
Balanced Architecture: Ensure the engineering team understands requirements perfectly, striking a balance between functional upgrades, technical debt, and operational compliance.
🚀 Execution & Solution Delivery
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal developers, architects, and deployment managers to steer agile sprint cycles and product increments.
Quality Gatekeeping: Participate in sprint reviews and demos, ensuring that what gets built truly satisfies business expectations and rigorous quality standards before rollout.
🔄 Lifecycle Management & Continuous Evolution
End-to-End Governance: Direct the application through its entire lifecycle, from initial ideation and active "Run" phase operations to eventual retirement.
Operational Stability: Sync with DevOps and support infrastructure to guarantee high platform availability and troubleshoot underlying incident trends.
Data-Driven Upgrades: Use system logs, incident data, and direct feedback to continuously refine the user experience and reduce operational costs.
💰 Financial & Vendor Oversight
Fiscal Responsibility: Support the budget forecasting process, contributing to business cases and ROI analyses.
Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships and deliverables with third-party service providers where integrated into the product ecosystem.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Professional Experience
Proven Track Record: At least 3–5 years of experience managing software applications as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Senior Business Analyst in an enterprise setting.
SDLC Expertise: Deep familiarity with modern software development lifecycles and hybrid delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
Matrix Management: Demonstrated success working within cross-functional teams spanning developers, compliance officers, and executive business sponsors.
Technical & Domain Expertise
Industry Background (Big Plus): Prior exposure to the Healthcare, Biotech, Clinical Diagnostics, or TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) sectors.
LIMS Familiarity (Strong Advantage): Previous experience developing or deploying Laboratory Information Management Systems.
Tooling Proficiency: Comfort working with industry-standard product management and service tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow).
Enterprise IT Awareness: Solid grasp of data flows, cloud/application integrations, and regulatory compliance constraints.
