Manager Java Backend Developer

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Java Back-end Developer to join our Consulting practice. In this role, you will work on diverse and dynamic implementation projects, collaborating closely with agile, cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for leading global clients.

You will work with a modern technology stack, help shape architecture and design, and have the opportunity to propose and implement new solutions. As part of our international team, you will participate in projects built on cutting-edge cloud platforms and advanced data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs, ensuring best practices in performance, scalability, and security.

• Manage database interactions using JPA/Hibernate, optimize SQL queries, and contribute to data model design.

• Participate in architecture and design activities, shaping system components and technical approaches.

• Apply CI/CD practices, work with source code management, and contribute to automated deployment pipelines.

• Ensure high code quality through unit tests, integration tests, documentation, and adherence to Clean Code principles.

• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, QA, and front-end teams within an agile (Scrum) environment.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Excellent knowledge of Java with 8+ years of professional experience.

• Strong experience building and maintaining backend services using Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices.

• Proven experience designing and implementing secure RESTful APIs.

• Solid hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases; proficiency with JPA/Hibernate.

• Strong understanding of performance optimization and best practices.

• Practical experience with Maven or Gradle and modern build processes.

• Hands-on experience with code repositories, CI/CD, and automated deployments.

• Strong focus on code quality, testing, and documentation.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Experience working on international projects and within agile/Scrum teams.

• Knowledge of Clean Code, unit testing, and modern development practices.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• 8+ years of experience in a corporate IT environment in a similar role.

• Working knowledge of Java frameworks commonly used in enterprise solutions.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
