Leads Data Scientist GenAI Chatbots (Azure AI Foundry)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join the AI team and support a client in developing end-to-end chatbots powered by LLMs and GenAI models. The role focuses on innovative applications of Generative AI, including knowledge extraction, in-context learning, summarization, translation with localization, and model fine-tuning. The team consists of professionals with deep expertise in GenAI, NLP, and Computer Vision, typically working in groups of 2 to 6 specialists, including Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Data Engineers, Technical Leaders, and Project Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing end-to-end GenAI solutions.
• Providing expertise in chatbot architecture and development.
• Building chatbot components, including prompt engineering, conversation state management, vector stores, rerankers, validation rules, and context-providing mechanisms.
• Supporting project delivery and ensuring technical excellence.
• Managing full project lifecycles, from business understanding and data preparation to model evaluation and deployment.
• Analyzing results and deriving insights.
• Delivering high-quality AI-driven solutions to clients.
• Providing strategic recommendations, including expected benefits and business impact.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in Azure Cloud, particularly AI Foundry, including Azure ML Prompt Flow, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure LLM provisioning.
• Proficiency in deep learning and Generative AI frameworks such as NumPy, Keras, PyTorch, HuggingFace, and LangChain.
• Experience with GenAI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini).
• Fluency in Python, along with working knowledge of SQL and vector databases.
• Understanding of deep learning concepts and methodologies.
• Experience in Machine Learning, particularly in Generative AI (LLM/LMM) with a focus on NLP or multimodal models.
• Ability to gather business requirements, create technical plans, process data, perform feature engineering, evaluate models, test hypotheses, and deploy solutions.
