Java Developer with Kafka

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Insurance Consulting team. In this role, you will participate in the design and implementation of insurance platform solutions, working on international projects with cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate closely with agile teams, business stakeholders, and technical experts to deliver high-quality software that transforms the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of insurance platform implementations.

• Collaborate with agile team members and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Develop, debug, and document software applications using modern Java frameworks.

• Build and maintain REST and SOAP web services.

• Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, code reviews, and best practices.

• Provide guidance and technical leadership to other developers.

• Participate in international projects, working with distributed teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Maven.

• Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP services.

• Excellent knowledge of SQL and one or more database engines (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Proficiency with Git.

• Solid experience with Kafka (must-have).

• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of RabbitMQ or Camunda Platform.

• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.

• Relevant certifications (Java, Spring, SQL, AWS/Azure).
