Summary: The Head of Artificial Intelligence is a senior executive role responsible for the overarching AI vision, strategy, and execution across the entire enterprise. This leader will drive the integration of machine learning, deep learning, and cognitive computing into the core of our scientific and business processes. You will be accountable for building a world-class AI capability that directly contributes to breakthroughs in drug discovery, clinical development, and patient outcomes.

Key Requirements:

• Professional experience within the Life Science industry, demonstrating a clear understanding of the unique challenges of deploying technology in a regulated environment (GxP, clinical trials, or pharmaceutical R&D).

• Extensive track record (10+ years) of professional experience in IT leadership, with a focus on building and scaling high-performing AI/ML teams.

• Extensive expertise in the AI/ML lifecycle, including a deep understanding of the unique requirements for model validation and "explainability" within a clinical and pharmaceutical context.

• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling global, multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, ML engineers, and domain experts.

• Exceptional strategic mindset with the ability to manage significant budgets and influence the executive board on the long-term impact of AI investments.

• Full professional mastery of English, with the ability to serve as a global thought leader and primary spokesperson for the organization’s AI initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Define and champion the enterprise-wide AI strategy, ensuring it is a primary driver for innovation in R&D, clinical trials, and manufacturing.

• Establish and chair the AI Governance Board to ensure ethical AI practices, data integrity, and strict adherence to international regulatory requirements.

• Drive the industrialization of AI, moving from local proof-of-concepts to robust, scalable enterprise solutions that deliver measurable ROI.

• Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to identify and execute strategic acquisitions, partnerships, or investments in the AI and Biotech space.

• Foster an organizational culture of "AI-first," leading change management efforts to integrate AI-driven decision-making into every level of the company.
