Data Tester in Snowflake and DBT

We are looking for a Data Tester experienced in Snowflake (Data Cloud) and DBT (Data Build Tool) to join an international data platform project. The role involves working closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across large-scale data pipelines and cloud environments.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing and executing automated test cases for data validation and transformation processes

• Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across Snowflake and DBT layers

• Identifying, reporting, and tracking data quality issues

• Collaborating with data engineering teams to optimize ETL/ELT workflows

• Supporting continuous improvement of test automation frameworks

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Tester, QA Engineer, or Data Engineer focusing on testing

• Strong knowledge of Snowflake (data structures, queries, roles, permissions)

• Hands-on experience with DBT and automated testing in data transformation pipelines

• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of data modeling concepts

• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (e.g. Git), and agile delivery environments

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in international teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for test automation

• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, or data lineage

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
