Data Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong background in analytics to join our expanding team. In this role, you will take the lead in developing a solid data foundation that drives data-driven strategies and unlocks the full potential of investment data. You will play a key role in optimizing data pipelines, enhancing data integration, and supporting strategic decision-making with robust analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling & Infrastructure:

• Develop and maintain data models using tools like dbt to ensure data is structured and ready for analysis.
• Design and implement reliable data pipelines to ingest, clean, and process investment-related data from diverse sources.

Data Integration & Management:

• Connect and integrate data sources using Fivetran, ensuring smooth data flow into our Snowflake data warehouse.
• Implement data governance policies and manage access controls to safeguard sensitive investment data.

Collaboration & Alignment:

• Work closely with local and international colleagues to align data engineering efforts across different business lines.

Quality & Automation:

• Build and maintain frameworks for data validation and testing to guarantee data quality.
• Automate infrastructure management using Terraform for scalable and reliable data systems.

Version Control & Documentation:

• Use Git for version control to track changes in data pipelines, models, and infrastructure effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

• A solid technical background in data and analytics engineering.
• Proven experience in building and managing data pipelines and models using tools such as dbt, Fivetran, and Snowflake.
• A strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work seamlessly with colleagues across different regions, time zones, and functions.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
