Job description

Data Center Engineer – Linux / AIX


We are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer with strong expertise in Linux and AIX systems to join our operations team responsible for supporting enterprise-level infrastructure in a mission-critical data center environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with Unix-based platforms, handling complex incidents, and ensuring the stability and performance of key systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux and AIX environments in a data center setting
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes across multiple Unix platforms
  • Ensure operational stability and performance in high-availability environments
  • Participate in incident management, including root cause analysis and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with storage, network, and application teams to support cross-functional infrastructure operations
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Execute changes following ITIL processes and best practices


Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Linux (e.g. RHEL, CentOS) and AIX systems in enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of shell scripting (e.g. Bash, KornShell) and system automation
  • Familiarity with data center operations and infrastructure hardware
  • Understanding of networking basics and system security best practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift rotation (including nights and weekends)
