Azure Data Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and independent Data Engineer to build and implement data architecture on Azure from scratch. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment, enjoys taking initiative, and has experience working with banking data.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage end-to-end data pipelines and architecture in Azure.
• Work with data from multiple sources, transforming and migrating it to Azure.
• Optimize data workflows and ensure their scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams to define data requirements and share expertise.
• Maintain data security and compliance with relevant standards.
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing data processes as needed.

Requirements

• Strong experience with banking data (mandatory).
• Proficiency in building data pipelines with Azure Data Factory.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Data Lake.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks and real-time data tools like Stream Analytics or Event Hubs.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with tools like Azure Purview for data governance.
• Knowledge of machine learning workflows in Azure Machine Learning.
