Senior QA Engineer - Core Experience

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an experienced software QA Engineer looking for a meaningful role in a dynamic environment? Join our Core Experience Markets Team at LeoVegas Group, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our global customer onboarding process and developing responsible gaming features. Your work will ensure a seamless, secure, and enjoyable experience for our customers across all our brands.

In this position, you will directly contribute to strengthening our sites by working very closely with key stakeholders in order to define the most effective and clear testing scopes aligned with our business needs. Our mission is to create a safe gaming environment where players can set healthy limits on their gambling habits. We leverage data-driven insights and a robust CI/CD process, following the Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodology to deliver high-quality solutions. You will collaborate alongside expert developers from four different expertises: Backend (Java/Kotlin), Frontend(Typescript), Native (Typescript) apps and Regular Reporting (Java/Kotlin); along with dedicated Quality Assurance Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that support a reliable and user oriented product. 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Drives high-impact outcomes by leading complex, ambiguous projects and resolving critical issues that directly influence business quality and performance.

• Elevates engineering quality across the company through mentoring, sponsorship and delivering constructive technical feedback.

• Shapes testing strategy and architecture by leading test design for complex problems, ensuring reliability, observability and alignment with business priorities.

• Communicates risks, insights and technical considerations clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders, contributing meaningfully to roadmaps and planning.

• Uplifts QA practices across squads by promoting best practices, anticipating issues through strong processes and enabling others to improve testing for performance, scale and security.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of the testing theory (testing types, testing approaches, test design techniques, test pyramid concept, etc.)

• Understanding of modern software development practices in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) self-organizing teams and DevOps environments

• Experience with Backend testing (microservice architecture with the tech stack of Java/Kotlin, MySQL, Kafka, REST API, BigQuery)

• Experience with full-stack testing

• Experience with native apps testing 

• Practical experience of automated API testing methodologies.

NICE TO HAVES

• Proficiency with test management tools such as TestRail, TestLink, xRay, Zephyr, or similar (at least one of them)

• Experience creating UI tests using Typescript and creating/working with mock data/mocking tools.

• Experience creating and analyzing Performance tests.

• Experience creating automated tests with Java and/or Typescript

• Experience in the iGambling (not mandatory, but would be great)
