Job description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team in the life science sector.

You’ll be responsible for driving key DevOps initiatives with a focus on scalability, security, and automation. This is a long-term opportunity within a mature engineering environment, where you’ll play a crucial role in shaping infrastructure and supporting continuous delivery practices across teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS-based infrastructure.
  • Own and manage the secrets storage solution using HashiCorp Vault, ensuring secure and reliable access to sensitive data.
  • Build and optimize infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to automate application deployments and testing.
  • Support container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker (primarily AWS EKS/ECS).
  • Set up and monitor infrastructure health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Implement security and vulnerability scanning into the DevOps pipeline (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, OpenID, Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to streamline releases and ensure system reliability.

Ideal candidate profile

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
  • Strong practical experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Deep understanding of HashiCorp Vault operations and security best practices.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform in production environments.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD processes with GitHub Actions.
  • Solid background in setting up and supporting observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with API-first architecture and service integration tools (e.g., AWS Step Functions, Kafka, Kinesis, Airflow).
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in English.

Conditions

  • Hybrid work in Warsaw (1 x week in the office)
  • Salary: negotiable based on individual qualifications
