CarPlay & Android Auto Software Developer

Join our client’s team, specializing in automotive solutions. This role focuses on developing and integrating applications for Apple CarPlay and Android Automotive OS, with particular emphasis on utilizing SDKs and integrating hardware components such as sensors, cameras, and infotainment systems. Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications for Apple CarPlay and Android Automotive platforms

• Utilize dedicated SDKs (e.g., Apple CarPlay Framework, Android Automotive SDK) to create seamless user experiences

• Integrate hardware components (e.g., vehicle sensors, cameras, audio systems) with software interfaces

• Collaborate with hardware engineers, UX designers, and testers

• Optimize performance and ensure compliance with platform guidelines and automotive safety standards

• Troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, latency, and hardware-software integration.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile or embedded software development

• Hands-on experience with Apple CarPlay and Android Automotive SDKs

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, and/or C++

• Experience integrating hardware components with software platforms (CAN bus, Bluetooth, USB, etc.)

• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols and infotainment systems

• Understanding of UI/UX design principles for in-car applications

Nice to have: 

• Experience with vehicle infotainment systems and OEM development environments

• Knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE)

• Familiarity with cloud solutions and OTA updates

• Contributions to open-source projects in automotive or mobile domains

Conditions:

• Work model: 100% remote from anywhere in Poland

• Rate: 160 – 200 PLN/hour (negotiable)

• Contract type: B2B (employment contract also possible)
