Job Description:

We seek new collaborators for several open projects as a dynamically growing company.

No matter which team you join, your primary focus will be on developing new features for our projects. Additional responsibilities include fixing bugs, maintaining existing solutions, and participating in stand-ups and meetings as part of your daily routine. Specific project details will be discussed during recruitment meetings.

We operate on a ‘You Build it, You Run it’ model, ensuring that users of our Application Platform can derive maximum value from our products through self-service. Our infrastructure includes an integrated AWS platform hosting over 1,000 services on an EKS and Serverless environment, serving 1 billion viewer requests daily. Additionally, we manage CI/CD infrastructure on Jenkins and Jfrog, with over 90 pipelines. Our teams monitor and observe applications using Datadog.

We follow DevOps, agile, and lean principles for product development and manage our platform as a product using modern management techniques. We emphasize a customer-oriented mindset and strong communication, with all engineers participating in a daily support rotation. All decisions align with our product principles and engineering best practices.

Qualifications Required:

• Ability to create and consume REST APIs
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Familiarity with React
• In-depth experience with Docker and networking
• In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services and interacting with their services and API, for example, knowledge in some but not all: CDK, Lambda, RDS, ALB, OpenSearch, ECS

Soft Skills:

• Pragmatism with an eye on how to simplify complex systems
• A product mindset
• Ability to drive technical decisions, and explain them at various levels (technical teams and management)
• Willingness to mentor and share knowledge with colleagues

Experience in Any of the Following Areas is a Distinct Advantage:

• Knowledge in Java, Kotlin

Example Projects:

• Adding a new flavor to the Application Platform to enable Machine Learning model deployment, hosting, and observability. This could involve automating the creation of CI/CD pipelines or integrating existing standalone templates into the platform.
• Investing in AI to solve existing challenges. One example: is improving service standardization through AI-driven insights.
• Enhancing adoption metrics and productivity measurements. We are running a PoC with seven teams on DORA metrics within Datadog, with potential expansion to additional services.
