Microsoft Fabric & Data Platform Expert (Delta Lake, Spark, Azure Integration)

Our GMS Tax Technology team deals with creating and implementing advanced IT solutions that support a wide range of processes and automations. They are related to international personal income taxes (GMS – Global Mobility Services) and management of human resources. We are a globally distributed team with members from various locations. Job description:

• Design and implement data transformation pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark

• Integrate data workflows with Azure services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Purview, etc.)

• Advise on best practices for data modeling, partitioning, and performance tuning in Delta Lake/Spark

• Develop and maintain reusable components and templates for pipeline orchestration

• Guide the team on leveraging Azure SDKs/APIs for data access, job management, and monitoring

• Ensure data security, lineage, and compliance using Azure Purview and RBAC

• Collaborate with full stack developers to expose pipeline controls and reporting features in the web application

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with big data platforms (Spark, Delta Lake) and Azure data services

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including its APIs and SDKs

• Strong knowledge of Delta Lake architecture, ACID transactions, and schema evolution

• Experience orchestrating Spark jobs with Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines.

• Proficient in Python, Scala, SparkSQL or PySpark for developing data transformations

• Familiarity with Azure security, governance, and monitoring tools

• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor team members
