Position Title: D365BC IT Functional Consultant

Role purpose We seek an experienced IT Business Systems Consultant skilled in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (365BC). The role involves technical support, troubleshooting, and optimizing external applications, integrated with D365BC, to ensure efficient business operations.
This position works closely with different departments to identify their needs and D365BC issues, offering expert recommendations for greater efficiency and scalability.
Additionally, this role contributes directly to the governance process that helps achieve important objectives, supports the planning and implementation of various business applications, and ensures the delivery of measurable business value.
Main Duties:
This role will be accountable for:
Deliver first-line technical support for D365BC and other ERP applications, efficiently diagnosing and resolving technical issues with defined SLAs.
Assess and optimise existing systems and processes to address business and IT requirements.
Proactively identify areas for improvements and propose solutions to enhance systems.
Manage and implement system upgrades, configurations and integrations.
Collaborate with stakeholder to collect requirements and prepare details system specifications.
Utilise ITSM and project delivery tools to demonstrate and document changes.
Ensure integrity and security of data across all business systems.
Remain informed of new modules, tech and ERP add-ons.
Key Knowledge, Abilities, and Experience
Extensive hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing system enhancements.
Strong understanding of finance ie General Ledger (G/L), Accounts
Development experience across SQL and AL.
Experience with multinational projects and systems.
Extensive experience with implementations, migrations, upgrades and new initiatives.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and performs effectively in high-pressure environments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences, effectively bridging the gap between technology and finance.
Desirable:
5+ years of relevant IT functional and bau support experience
Experience with system integration and project management is a plus
