About the role
As part of Kingfisher’s Engineering Centre in Krakow, we are expanding our teams dedicated to Castorama Polska – one of the country’s most recognized DIY retail brands. These teams will be shaping the future of retail by building and evolving Castorama’s mobile app, e-commerce platform, and the back-office systems that power store operations across Poland. If you join us, you will not just be writing code – you will be directly influencing how millions of customers shop, browse, and interact with their local Castorama stores. From launching a new generation of mobile apps to streamlining in-store tech, your work will have a real, visible impact in your own backyard.
We are seeking a highly motivated Mid Quality Engineer to join our GraphQL team. As a QE for this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the data that is produced for use by our front-end teams.

Responsibilities
Understand requirements such as functionality, usability, accessibility, performance, and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test objectives, scope, and deliverables for each release cycle.
Create detailed test plans, including test cases, test data, and test environments.
Own the test execution process, including test case creation, prioritisation, and scheduling.
Manual testing as necessary, ensuring the highest level of product quality.
Establish and maintain test environments.
Collaborate with the development and DevOps teams to ensure proper configuration and availability of test environments.
Identify and implement improvements to the test infrastructure to streamline the testing process.
Operate an effective defect management process, including defect tracking, reporting, and resolution.
Work closely with the development team to analyse, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues reported during testing.
Prioritise and escalate critical defects to ensure quick resolution and maintain an elevated level of product quality.
Skills and experience
Professional experience as a Quality Engineer
Solid experience testing GraphQL, REST, and similar web APIs.
Practical experience in test automation, particularly in the context of GraphQL.
Proficient with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
Strong understanding of Quality Assurance practices within Agile methodologies.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make effective decisions.
Clear and confident communicator, experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Contributed innovative ideas and improvements to QA processes, with a focus on mobile app testing.
Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
