Storage Specialist (SME)

We are seeking a File Storage (SME) for a hybrid, consulting engagement in Warsaw, Poland. This position requires strong technical leadership in NAS, SAN, and Backup environments, particularly with NetApp solutions.

The SME will work closely with cross-functional teams across Infrastructure, Applications, and Security, helping to optimize storage platforms and support enterprise technology needs.

This is a B2B contract , ideal for experienced professionals looking for flexible, high-impact consultancy work.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for NAS-related projects and initiatives, taking full ownership of delivery and outcomes.

• Serve as the NAS Subject Matter Expert, providing design input, technical leadership, and operational support.

• Ensure the global NAS estate remains performant, stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

• Identify opportunities for automation and drive implementation to streamline storage operations.

• Collaborate with teams across:

  • Business & PSS Application Support

  • Onsite Technology Services

  • Country Technology Management

  • Operational Risk Management

  • Interfacing Domains: Network, Data Centre, UNIX, Windows, Active Directory, and Security

• Participate in data migrations, incident resolution, provisioning assessments, and performance/capacity planning.

• Provide clear documentation, recommendations, and support during change control and project planning.

🎯 Key Requirements

• Expertise in NAS Storage technologies (NetApp preferred).

• Solid knowledge of SAN, Backup, and enterprise storage environments.

• Experience working in hybrid infrastructure teams across multiple technology domains.

• Strong ability to troubleshoot, lead incident resolution efforts, and support change delivery.

• Knowledge of enterprise compliance, security, and IT operations standards.

• Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration across global teams.

📌 Nice to Have

• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Python, PowerShell).

• Broader experience with storage platforms (Dell EMC, Hitachi, etc.).

• Awareness of ITIL or other service management frameworks.
