Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with expertise in Generative AI to architect and build enterprise-grade GenAI solutions across the bank’s ecosystem. You’ll be part of a global AI Centre of Excellence, collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts to deliver intelligent agents, copilots, and automation capabilities that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems to support enterprise-grade Generative AI applications.
• Engineer solutions using LLMs, RAG pipelines, embeddings, and agentic AI architectures tailored to financial use cases.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, ML engineers, and business stakeholders to turn models into robust, compliant services.
• Develop secure APIs and integration layers that connect GenAI tools to internal platforms and third-party systems.
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, and guardrails for GenAI services, ensuring security, auditability, and responsible AI practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing coding standards and architectural best practices.
• Stay current with advances in LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral), vector databases, and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience, including backend or full-stack roles in large-scale environments.
• 2+ years of direct experience with Generative AI technologies: LLM APIs, prompt engineering, vector stores, fine-tuning, or RAG.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred), Java, or other modern backend languages.
• Experience designing and deploying containerized microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Deep understanding of data privacy, security, and governance standards within regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering practices: CI/CD, unit/integration testing, Git workflows, code reviews.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with financial services use cases (e.g., KYC automation, compliance monitoring, financial summarization).
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Knowledge of risk-mitigation strategies for AI systems (bias detection, output moderation, compliance).
• Exposure to MLOps workflows, model versioning, and feedback loop integration.
