Senior Architect

Kevin Edward Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect for our client. This role involves designing, optimizing, and securing complex IT environments spanning both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in systems architecture, cloud technologies, and IT security best practices

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Design: Develop scalable, secure, and robust infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises environments (e.g., AWS, Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP).
• Strategy & Roadmap: Define architecture strategies to meet business needs, performance requirements, and scalability goals.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams on infrastructure design, automation, patch management, and system upgrades.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure system architecture adheres to security standards, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
• Performance Optimization: Oversee system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to maintain optimal system health.
• Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to align IT infrastructure strategies with organizational goals.
• Innovation: Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies for continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in systems/network architecture for enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux).
• Expertise in hybrid infrastructure services, including cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments.
• Strong proficiency in automation, scripting (e.g., shell scripts, Python), and patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM).
• Solid understanding of infrastructure storage (SAN), virtualization tools (VMware), and IT monitoring/SIEM tools (Nagios, Cacti, Splunk).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in IT security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO, PCI DSS).
• English language proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing and managing hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident and change management.
• Advanced understanding of network protocols and device management.
• ITIL, cloud, or security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, ITIL).
