    Overview

    A System & Business Analyst in the Data area plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. They are responsible for understanding complex business processes, analyzing data requirements, and translating them into functional specifications that can be implemented by technical teams.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Business Process Analysis:
    • Elicit and document business requirements, processes, and data flows.
    • Analyze existing systems and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop process models and diagrams (e.g., flowcharts, UML diagrams).
    • Data Analysis:
    • Identify data requirements and sources.
    • Analyze data quality and consistency issues.
    • Develop data models and schemas.
    • Functional Specifications:
    • Create detailed functional specifications that outline system requirements and functionality.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that specifications are clear and achievable.
    • System Testing:
    • Develop test cases and scenarios to validate system functionality.
    • Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing.
    • Stakeholder Management:
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including business users, technical teams, and management.
    • Manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
    • Project Management:
    • Contribute to project planning and execution.
    • Track project progress and identify potential risks.


    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in data modeling and database concepts.
    • Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, data visualization).
    • Experience with business process modeling and analysis.
    • Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Experience in a data-driven environment is preferred.
