Project

You will be involved in a financial sector project focused on operational resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity testing within a large banking environment. The initiative aims to validate Minimum Viable Business (MVB) capabilities and ensure that critical banking services can be recovered effectively in the event of major disruptions.

In this role, you will contribute to developing and coordinating recovery testing strategies, disaster scenarios, and resilience testing activities, while ensuring alignment with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Develop a comprehensive testing strategy for MVB capabilities for 2026 and beyond to validate MVB risk reduction

• Establish detailed testing strategies for 2026 to ensure robust recovery capabilities and validate MVB plans

• Ensure that dependencies for the delivery of testing activities in 2026 are clearly defined

• Support the setup of MVB testing and define a long-term testing plan

• Design and implement testing strategies by developing detailed testing plans for MVB response and recovery

• Include awareness, discrete, integrated, and coordinated testing approaches

• Perform risk assessments and develop realistic disaster scenarios

• Refine testing strategies based on feedback and evolving circumstances

• Communicate testing strategies to stakeholders, ensure buy-in, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

Expected competences and knowledge

• Strong experience as a Testing Manager

• Deep understanding of the financial services industry, banking products and services, and the regulatory environment

• Strong understanding of business continuity and crisis management in the context of cyber resilience, including related recovery methods, documentation, and technologies

• Experience with technology stacks used in large banks and with establishing disaster recovery processes across business and technology domains

• Understanding of risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and recovery planning, with a focus on testing these elements

• Experience in developing, implementing, and testing business continuity plans, including tabletop, scenario-based, and technology testing

• Proficiency in creating, analysing, and testing disaster scenarios to evaluate recovery plans

• Background in technology infrastructure and systems testing to ensure robustness and recovery capabilities

• Proven track record of managing complex testing initiatives, including planning, execution, and monitoring of recovery tests

• Understanding of banking regulatory requirements and compliance standards, ensuring testing strategies meet regulatory expectations

• Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams involved in testing recovery plans
