Test Automation Engineer

Salary: 500-900 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Warszawa (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of critical applications by performing both manual and automated testing. The role combines hands-on test automation with Python, Robot Framework, and Selenium, while also covering functional, integration, and UAT testing phases. Working in a Scrum environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to refine requirements, improve test coverage, and enhance testing processes across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Perform manual and automated testing 

• Implement and execute automated test scripts (Python, Robot Framework, Selenium)

• Prepare test data for both manual and automated testing

• Support UAT as well as Pre-Production and Production testing phases

• Analyze, refine, and estimate requirements and user stories

• Create, review, maintain, and execute test cases; report and handle defects

• Improve test automation coverage and enhance overall test organization

• Follow the Master Test Plan and Test Process in daily activities, while seeking opportunities for improvements

• Work as part of a Scrum team alongside testers, developers, and business analysts

Expected competences and knowledge

• 4+ years of experience in software testing or software development

• 3+ years of development experience with Python

• 3+ years of experience with test automation frameworks (Robot Framework, Selenium/SeleniumLibrary)

• 3+ years of experience in locating UI web elements using XPath syntax

• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) testing

• Experience with integration testing (e.g. API, Kafka, UC4)

• Understanding of the Page Object Model (POM) pattern

• Proficiency with development tools (e.g. PyCharm or equivalent)

• Experience with GIT

• Experience with Jenkins

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and qTest or equivalent tools.

• Experience working in Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of ISTQB, with regular use of all test levels and test techniques

Nice to have:

• Experience with containerization using Docker 

• Experience with Contract Testing, Service Virtualization, or Data Mocking
• Knowledge of Groovy for Jenkinsfile
• Knowledge of SQL
