Technical Product Owner

Salary: 800-1000 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa / Łódź (at least 1 day per week from the office)

Project

---

This role involves leading the modernization and transformation of an internal system that supports critical infrastructure management, and CI/CD pipeline tracking. Over time, this system has been developed without a structured roadmap, leading to challenges with maintenance, stability, and compliance.

The Technical Product Owner will deconstruct the current system and align its functionalities with standardized enterprise tools, processes, and services. The objective is to migrate, replace, or retire outdated components, ensuring their ownership is transitioned to appropriate teams while integrating residual core services with key business applications.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Define a strategic roadmap to align the system with enterprise-standard tools and processes
• Conduct requirements gathering from end users, security, compliance, and development teams
• Perform user analysis – identify functionalities in use, their necessity, and usage frequency
• Assess each component to determine whether it should be decommissioned, migrated, replaced, or retained
• Develop a concrete action plan for each system component and coordinate the handover to other teams
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards during the transition
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and business teams
• Provide progress reports and escalate potential blockers when necessary

 

Expected competencies and knowledge

• Technical Product Owner / Hands-On Project Manager experience
• Experience in application and infrastructure architecture design
• Prior work in security and compliance requirements
• Strong documentation and communication skills in English
• Familiarity with SAFe/Agile methodologies
• Experience working with enterprise applications on different technology stacks
• Knowledge of banking IT systems is a plus
• Prior experience in large-scale technology transformations is a strong advantage
• Java development experience is beneficial but not mandatory
