We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical SAM Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and processing raw data from CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) tools, organizing and interpreting the information, and providing actionable insights to support the Software Asset Management team.

 

What you'll be doing

• Understand and define the scope and requirements for relevant SAM data
• Analyze and process raw data from CASB tools to identify segmentation attributes
• Organize, clean, and prepare data for SAM team review, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Define prioritization orders and gather required information from application owners and the CMDB team
• Collaborate with the SAM team to develop insights into licensing and governance requirements
• Create documentation and processes to support ongoing SAM initiatives

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• Hands-on experience in Software License Management, particularly with cloud applications
• Familiarity with SAM tools like Flexera One, Snow, or others
• Knowledge of CASB tools and compliance considerations
• Experience working with CMDB tools such as BMC Helix
• Proven ability to collaborate with different teams within large organizations
• Experience with BI tools like Power BI or other data visualization software
• Knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of SAM frameworks, licensing models, and ITIL principles
• Familiarity with SharePoint
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to evaluate data relevance and identify discrepancies in datasets
• Competence in addressing gaps in information and providing accurate insights
