Project

We are looking for a skilled and passionate QA Automation Engineer to join our Data Team, focusing on testing complex applications built in Hadoop and Cloud Platforms (e.g., Snowflake). The role involves developing and maintaining Python libraries for Robot Framework, managing CI/CD pipelines for test libraries, and driving process improvements and automation. This project is part of the new teams within Data Systems, where we are actively expanding and enhancing our Data Lake infrastructure. The goal is to develop robust capabilities and scalable Data Marts to enable data democratization across the organization.

 

What you'll be doing

• Test complex applications built in Hadoop and Cloud Platforms (Snowflake)
• Implement Python libraries as an extension for Robot Framework
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for test libraries
• Identify and implement improvements and process automation for day-to-day tasks/challenges
• Test scenario and test case preparation
• Test data preparation
• Implementing test automation scripts
• Test results analysis and defect reporting
• Release planning and reporting

 

Expected competencies and knowledge

• 6+ years of development experience with Python
• Experience with Robot Framework
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with database technologies
• Experience with GIT
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Strong working experience with Linux and Bash
• Knowledge of streaming and queues technologies e.g. KAFKA, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ

• Working knowledge of DevOps

Nice to have 

• Knowledge of Big Data concepts, such as Hadoop ecosystem (Cloudera/MapR) including streaming technologies
• Knowledge about Cloud systems (such as AWS, GCP or Azure), Snowflake
