Senior/Expert Java Developer

Salary: 1000-1300 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia (2-3 days per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on streamlining payment flows compliant with ISO 20022 standards into a regulatory payment archive.
The project aims to ensure high-performance processing, regulatory compliance, and secure archiving of financial transactions within a modern, event-driven architecture.

You will work in Agile teams delivering scalable and reliable payment processing solutions in a regulatory environment.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Streamlining and optimizing payment flows into a regulatory payment archive
• Implementing and maintaining high-performance Kafka-based event streaming solutions
• Writing and optimizing database logic in Oracle and PL/SQL
• Collaborating within Agile teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable financial systems
• Designing and developing solutions for processing ISO 20022 payment messages

Expected competences and knowledge

• Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot
• Solid hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including performance tuning
• Practical experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL
• Good understanding of ISO 20022 payment message structure
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a regulatory/financial environment

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Snowflake
• Experience with dbt
• Python programming skills
