Senior Database Support Specialist for NLP DK Transition project, Core and Compute Team

Salary: 800-1000 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Warsaw (at least 2 day per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on enhancing database support operations for one of the leading financial institutions in Northern Europe. The initiative aims to optimize resource utilization, reduce incident frequency and duration, and improve service delivery across IT operations and development teams. The project also involves close collaboration with engineering, governance, and external offshore support teams to shape the future database infrastructure.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Support and optimize large-scale database environments (MS SQL, Azure Cosmos DB)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams on infrastructure and governance
• Define and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and engineering policies
• Drive automation and continuous process improvement

Expected competences and knowledge

• Experience in daily DBA operations including troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Understanding of IT operations planning and control
• Strong communication skills in English (B2 level or higher)
• High attention to detail, quality, and ownership
• Experience working in regulated industries, preferably financial services
