Project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer to join a cross-functional mobile team working for a fast-growing UK-based tech company in the parking and mobility space. The company builds products that help millions of drivers find, book, and pay for parking with ease — solving real, everyday problems at scale.

You will play a key role in modernising and evolving a widely used Android application. This is a hands-on senior position focused on breaking down a legacy monolithic architecture into modular, feature-based components, migrating UI to Jetpack Compose, and improving key user journeys such as homepage, reservation, and checkout. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, iOS, and QA teams, while having real influence over architectural decisions and engineering standards.

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of commercial experience as an Android Developer

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin

• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose

• Experience shipping and maintaining production Android apps (Google Play)

• Good understanding of modern Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularisation)

• Experience with Coroutines, Retrofit, and dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt)

• Familiarity with XML layouts, ViewBinding, LiveData

• Experience working with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics

• Ability to write clean, well-tested, maintainable code

• Product-focused mindset with attention to UX, accessibility, and performance

• Comfortable using analytics, experimentation, and AI-assisted development tools

• Good communication skills in English
