RPG Developer

Salary: 1100 - 1300 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa (2 days per week from the office)

Project

You will join a team responsible for developing and maintaining IBMi applications supporting business services in the Commercial Cards area. The project is run in an agile (ART) model, with close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using RPG IV, RPG free format, and ILE RPG
• Collaborate within an agile team and with various stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and debug existing applications
• Optimize application performance and ensure code quality
• Create technical and user documentation
• Design application components based on agreed business requirements
• Participate in testing and verification processes

Expected competences and knowledge

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with the IBM i (AS400) platform
• Practical experience with IBM I ILE CL, RPGLE, SQL, DB2
• Experience in embedded SQL programming and creating complex queries
• Ability to create and maintain service programs
• Experience with Web Services and APIs
• Hands-on use of RDi (Rational Developer for i – modern IDE for IBM i development)
• Ability to analyze sources and objects at different levels
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in IBM i environment
• Ability to investigate programs and define appropriate testing

Nice to have

• Ability to read and work with legacy code (RPG3, RPG4)
• Familiarity with Rocket Aldon ALM tool
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Experience in the financial industry, preferably in the Cards domain
