We are looking for an experienced Release/Delivery Manager to oversee IT release planning, execution, and deployment. In this role, you will manage the release roadmap, coordinate multiple releases, and ensure smooth transitions from development to production. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, development, and operations teams to enhance release quality through automation and DevOps best practices. This is a great opportunity to collaborate in an international environment and drive efficient, high-quality deliveries.

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in IT project management with a focus on release/deployment management
• Strong project management skills with experience in Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes under ITIL
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
• Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset with strong coordination and planning abilities
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining a strategic overview
• Proactive and adaptable approach to change management
• Flexibility to work paid evenings and weekends for implementation events
• Passion for automation, with an interest in working with Release Orchestration tools to create automated pipelines

 

Nice to have

• Experience in the banking sector or financial services
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-level release management tools

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Coordinate, plan, and maintain the release roadmap for one or more applications
• Manage release and deployment planning, ensuring smooth execution of multiple parallel releases
• Oversee go-live and post-go-live activities to secure a smooth transition into production
• Track and coordinate change management activities throughout the release process
• Lead release decision meetings, securing stakeholder approval at each milestone
• Plan and facilitate handover sessions from development teams to operations teams
• Enhance release quality and efficiency by implementing automation, new techniques, and DevOps best practices
• Identify and resolve impediments early, escalating when necessary
• Ensure compliance with ITIL framework for incident, problem, and change management
• Serve as a mentor and coach, fostering best practices in Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency on delivery targets and progress
