Public Key Infrastructure Specialist

Salary: 125 - 150 PLN/h on B2B

Work model: hybrid from Gdynia (2/3 days per week from the office)

Project

You will join a security-focused initiative responsible for implementing a global industry mandate related to TLS certificate standards within a large financial organization.

The project involves transformation of certificate usage (including EKU changes), ensuring compliance across internal and external systems, and improving visibility over digital certificates within the organization.

You will work at the intersection of security, infrastructure, and governance- combining hands-on PKI expertise with planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Drive and implement changes related to TLS certificate standards (EKU removal)

• Design and implement solutions for internal and external trust environments

• Conduct discovery and analysis of digital certificates across the organization

• Evaluate tools (internal and external) for certificate inventory and management

• Identify non-compliances and propose remediation strategies

• Assess risks and ensure secure and disruption-free implementation

• Provide support, communication, and training to application teams and stakeholders

• Collaborate with technical teams and management across the organization

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in IT with strong focus on PKI

• Deep understanding of public vs. private CA (trust chains, root certificates, policies)

• Solid knowledge of TLS and mTLS, including certificate validation

• Good understanding of infrastructure components (networks, domains, OS)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience in risk assessment and mitigation planning

• Ability to work in complex enterprise environments

• Strong communication skills (technical and business level)

• Proactive attitude and ownership mindset
