Oracle Stabilization Project Technical lead

Salary: 800-1000 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Warsaw (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

---

You will be involved in a financial project focused on performance detection, stability and proactive management of critical Oracle databases.

The role is key in ensuring high availability and optimal performance of CIF/critical databases used in banking systems.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Detect and proactively analyze performance issues on CIF/critical Oracle databases
• Participate in BCIs (Business Continuity Incidents) when required
• Carry out deep dives with application/support teams and recommend necessary changes on flagged databases
• Establish and improve performance detection mechanisms with Oracle tools (OEM, analyzers, DB performance index, service degradation monitoring)
• Provide support and escalation during RCAs for critical databases, including RCA validation QA
• Deliver technical support during handovers from Engineering to Operations

 

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Oracle DBA for a large enterprise customer
• Experience managing hundreds of Oracle databases
• Strong SQL development and tuning background (DML/DDL)
• Hands-on experience with daily DBA management (diagnosing/troubleshooting issues, incident response, restoring services, technical consultation)
• Familiarity with locking, latching, contention, rollback handling
• Good knowledge of performance testing and capacity planning
• Experience in IT operations management (SOPs, patching, upgrades, hardening, compliance with Engineering/Cybersecurity)
• English proficiency at B2 level (spoken and written)
• Nice to have: financial sector experience, query plan analysis, and DB monitoring tools
